Time waits for no man You’ve got two minutes before your driver departs I’m standing on a treasure trove Looking for my suitcase and a brand new start Yea we gotta get outta here Sky’s a dark blue torn denim Stretched tightly across the city skyline Uneven Eden, smoking outline Man, it Looks like it's been worn for a while Yea we gotta get outta here My mind’s a mind that always finds trouble Waiting at the end of the road My eyes are eyes that only see double If you gotta get out Then you gotta get in Or tear it down to nothing again Whether you're California dreaming Or pushing at an unlocked door Heaven seems boring I’m a state champion I’m still waiting for my shiny award Yea, I gotta get outta here Once told a man he would live forever I am afraid I was only playing a part Too young, I should let it go But it shakes me, baby, every time I think I see a spark But I do not know how My mind’s a mind that always finds trouble Waiting at the end of the road My eyes are eyes that only see double It’s a Chinese finger trap You’re pulling too tightly You gotta give up if you wanna be free
2.
There is a place I go to hide It’s miles and miles away from this place I’m treading water and its heating up But i have not stretched my legs towards the bottom Yea, I’m tired of waiting What keeps the beast trapped in the cage Is it the bars or the space in between them They keep my seat down at the end of the bar I drink it down yea whatever they give me But, this cup is full and heavy I know an honest word can be the easiest way out But those bitter words Can take a lifetime to spit out But time is on my side until the day it’s not And that’s okay We might as well keep going (‘cause) look how far we’ve made it But I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop It’s the silence in the seam that’s tormenting Yea, who’s got that kinda free time? I know an honest word Is the easiest way out But those bitter words Can take a lifetime to spit out Yea But time is on my side until the day its not That’s okay I do, I believe I’m so tired of waiting I don’t want to be naive But I’m tired of waiting To just to let it be
3.
You can call it anything But it only means less Words evade my grasp I’m left with just a gasp that taste like nothing My mouth’s landscape Is a deserted place But water is just a word Unless you really know thirst Or you’re drowning Let’s gather together In a bewildered heap Fill our mouths with water While the ocean takes our feet Ice is the sound The river makes It cracks cold and sings And something of moment begins then starts melting I can point the way But can’t see past my hand Yea i don’t believe in believing anymore But who’s really keep score, yea who’s still counting Let’s gather together In a bewildered heap Fill our mouths with lightning While the fire takes the street I’m 1980s Technology Behind my eyes you’ll see a fuzzy blue screen You can make of me anything
4.
Knee deep in water She’s softly absorbing waves The ground beneath her sinking But she’s suspended in space Don’t tell me that the moon is shining Show me the glitter in broken glass Don’t tell me that the moon is shining There’s nothing she cannot do Blooms break the rocks on the mountain Then bear the sun on their face Its an everyday apocalypse Then she reanimates Don’t tell me that the moon is shining Show me the glitter in broken glass Don’t tell me that the moon is shining There’s nothing she cannot do

about

On No Time, Philadelphia rock band Oldermost evolve the signature "atmosphericana" of their last three elaborate studio records to chase the fleeting moment of "a good band on a good day." Having played together for a decade, they loaded the car and drove to a converted Masonic lodge in South Jersey to record these four songs live. The result is a warm and intimate listening experience celebrating the bittersweet swells and turns of a decade of friendship. No Time invites you into the studio to explore a lush indie rock landscape with the lyrics of poet Bradford Bucknum as guide.
